About Chipotle

For our student group project we will be conducting on going research for the company Chipotle Mexican Grill. The group members that will be participating in this research project are Mario, Kevin G., Sikondor, and Kevin S.

Recommendations

·       Employee costs – eight employees at one time can be a bit excessive, particularly when the store is slow.

·       Decreasing the wages for trainees can help lower costs.

·       Chipotle does well to ensure they receive fresh products.  However, 350 miles is still a broad area to order from.

·       Decreasing this number will help reduce the risk of receiving spoiled products

·       Thrown away orders costs Chipotle money.

·       Better trained employees would be a great way to increase customer satisfaction as well as reducing failure costs.

·       Repeating orders to customers as they are taken will also help to reduce errors.

·       Chipotle only has condiments, utensils, and vegetables shipped every Sunday, resulting in shortage of them during operating hours for the week.

·       Compared how well they have their meats shipped in. Chipotle should increase their condiments and utensils shipment twice a week.
