We
learned a great deal about the Chipotle store located at 201 route 22
Springfield, NJ. Although the focus of our analysis and interview with Kathy
Santiago was based on Quality & Performance, we gained valuable insight on
the logistic of how this particular store is ran and how their food is prepared
and served fresh in a fast food setting, efficiently.
In conclusion we have analyzed that Chipotle’s mission statement, “Food with Integrity” says it all when talking about how the company prides themselves. They have a great relationship with the customers and value the quality of their product they are serving. They have successfully accomplished healthy, organic, fresh food that customers have come to love and remain loyal towards. Customer Satisfaction and Employee Involvement are of the highest priorities when walking into the store.
Some
areas that could use improvement in this particular store may be better trained
employees that will help to reduce the number of wasted burritos that get throw
away every day, saving on costs. Repeating back the order to the customer will reassure accuracy
and will improve customer satisfaction in the overall experience of Chipotle. Also,
when it comes to the shipping of their fresh products, Chipotle can look to
reduce the distance of the farms in which they are receiving good in a quicker,
more efficient way which will help to reduce the chance of food going back or
overall spoiled products in general.
